![]() Photo Friday Advice!!?? I want to submit one of my photos for the reflections challenge at Photo Friday, but I don't know which one. If you have a minute, I'd really appreciate your opinion on which of the following is the best choice: Thanks Tamara for your comments. I posted that photo before I had photoshop; hah! no more under-saturation. I replaced the car reflection with a slightly adjusted one. I love the lines in it, and how the wall is engulfed by the mist. Good job. Posted by: Garvey at December 9, 2004 12:38 AM
Posted by: Leigh at December 8, 2004 3:41 AM P.S. I like Misty Appalachia too. Posted by: VISUAL FIELD at December 7, 2004 11:25 PM I think Tamara's reasoning is good, but I like Watercolors II best. One thing I like is that it takes a moment to realize that it's a reflection Posted by: VISUAL FIELD at December 7, 2004 11:24 PM I definitely like Watercolors II better than I. I think that the picture is more balanced because of the sky. And I think that the illusion of a watercolor is better in II. In fact, when I first saw it, I thought you'd taken a picture of an impressionistic painting, or that you'd used Photoshop to get this effect. (Then I saw Chiaroscuro's comment, and I realized it was a reflection.) However, ultimately, I think I like the picture of the car the best, if only because it's not a reflection of a scene on water. I think it might stand out better from the 6000 other shots on Photo Friday of reflections on water (including mine). The only thing about that picture is that the colors aren't very saturated, and I think I might like the picture better if it were at least a little brighter. But... I do tend to oversaturate my pictures. Long winded response, eh? O.K. So my suggestion would be #3 (the car) because of the subject material, followed by #1 (Watercolors II) because of the composition of the picture.
