![]() I took this yesterday on the Johns Hopkins campus. The sun was setting, and the light was very long and yellow; it looked really beautiful on the grasses. I guess I'll come back to the b&w film photos later. Posted by Gaja at December 12, 2004 11:41 AM © All images are copyrighted. Please contact me for permission or licensing. Commentsi love the creative (and inspiring) use of angle and depth of field in this shot. it reminds me of a feeling / a vision, that i sometimes had as a child, during the minutes before falling asleep. i called it the "big-small feeling". for me this was when i was seeing strange pictures in my phantasy, notv beeing able tell, whether the objects i saw were big or small, whether i was looking at them through a microscope, or i myself was very tiny and the objects were immensely big. this shot, playing with depth of field, reminds me very intensively of this special feeling: you may imagine yourself to be an insect looking at the grass, and at the same time you're fully aware of the fact, what tiny object you are looking at. thank you!
