I got a new scanner for X-mas! it is an epson 3170, and now I will go crazy scanning all the prints I have! It's so wonderful! The scanner I was using before took like 2 minutes per print! No more! Alright, here's a scanned print from a roll I just had developed, but which was taken in October I think. PS I also got a new camera for X-mas (I know, I am a lucky gal) and I'm sure you'll be seeing LOTS of photos from it soon...

Thanks for your suggestions - here is the crop you suggested, do you think it's better? Thanks!

Actually, I like the uncropped version best. I think that the focus on the rocks to the left of the leaf distracts you from seeing that the leaf itself isn't really in focus. I also love that it is off center.

Nice red color in the leaf. It's very striking.

How pretty! I agree with visual field about the cropping. It is well composed as is, but I'd rather see the little ivory-colored fragment go. I love the shape and color of the leaf. Congrats on your new camera!!!

Beautiful! I'd be interested to see it with about 1/4 of the image cropped off on the left. The bright area in the upper left and the little piece of something in the mid-left are a bit distracting.

What kind of camera did you get?
