The first is 1.6 sec @ f8. The second is 1/4 sec @ f2.8. Any preferences? The framing is slightly different as well so that may be a factor. To me the speed changes the mood drastically. This was my first time doing moving water shots - I was shocked at how much blurring there was even at 1/60.

Woah! Amazing! I think the top one is my favourite.

Definitely the second one. The water motion has more character in it. Beautiful shot!

Excellent!

One of my favourite things to photograph is waterfalls. :) I like the flow of the first shot, but the second one truly conveys the incredible power of the falls.

I think I like the length of exposure in the first shot, and the composition of the second one (the ziz-zag path the water takes).

BTW, you have the wrong width in the HTML for these two images, so they're showing up as a bit bitty.

I agree that the mood is very different for the two versions. The first is peaceful, whereas the second is wild and rough. I like them both.

I actually prefer the first one. :) I think I like it because it's less messy, especially at the bottom where it just fans out gracefully. In the second shot it's sort of chaotic at the bottom and almost a little intimidating, to me!

These are really fantastic pictures. You've exposed these so well. The snow looks nice and white. Also, I love that you can make out nice detail and highlights on the trees in the background. This is more true in the first image than the second, but I think I like the 2nd one best, because I like the texture of the water.

I like the second one better. You can make out the water lines a little better. Sometimes too long of an exposure produces a complete blur instead of water.

The water in the second shot has more details. I especially like the dark green color at the bottom. Nice shots!
