San Francisco Mall | « Egg on Egg | Main | Wake Up » |
![]() I am in San Francisco at a conference. Unfortunately it's been raining the entire time I've been here, so before I went venturing into the city on Thursday, I stepped into the mall to get an umbrella. People were looking at me kinda funny when I stood in the middle of the atrium and whipped out a camera and started pointing it at the ceiling (I noticed lots of people looking at me, then at the ceiling trying to figure out what they missed;-). Posted by: lauren at July 23, 2006 6:05 PM Nice shot - I get the looks all the time as well...I just kind of shrug the shoulders and act like I'm confused that they are confused... I like this shot a lot - but I think it had a lot more potential. Could you have stood directly under the middle of the atrium and had a better balance on all sides? i would have like to see the white cirle at the top centered in the frame...just MHO. Great shots you have... CTRL+D in effect. -T Posted by: zoomvienna at February 26, 2005 12:25 PM Great architectural shot, and very well *framed*. ;) Whenever I see someone taking out their camera in an odd place, my reaction is to reach for mine too in case there's something good. :) Posted by: Chiaroscuro at February 23, 2005 8:19 PM You have to forgive them for their curiosity. This is normal reaction from them. Like the composition very much! Great shot. Posted by: yungyaw at February 23, 2005 10:42 AM ~Strong lighting and color balance here, crisp detail and a darn good POV...nicely snapped/presented~ Posted by: btezra at February 22, 2005 7:23 PM The question is, did they see what you saw. My contention is that photographers see things others don't...that's why we feel compelled to take photos of them. Beautiful symmetry in this, and the understated color is great, too. Posted by: matt at February 22, 2005 4:24 PM great perspective and color. very futuristic. Posted by: zerosun at February 22, 2005 2:25 PM I love this lines. and light! :) Posted by: Saikoro at February 22, 2005 2:36 AM Great eye for that shot. Hope to see some more from your trip. Posted by: Simon at February 22, 2005 2:23 AM nice shot! i love the colors. don't forget to eat some rice-a-roni! Posted by: zac at February 21, 2005 10:32 PM Great photo, awesome lighting. I don't let the people distract me. Posted by: Kenny at February 21, 2005 2:59 PM My friends and random people will ask me sometimes, "what are you taking a picture of?" Then I'll show them the finished product later. I get a funny response most of the time. Great photo here, I like the colors and lines. Posted by: Shad at February 21, 2005 2:35 PM Nice shot with good exposure. I love all those curves. Well done! Posted by: Andreas at February 21, 2005 4:19 AM Typical tourist!! Posted by: jyoseph at February 20, 2005 8:00 PM great shot of a great looking design....laugh!! that happened to me when I shot my current shot, stained....stood in a Priory, shooting a one of many windows, then I realise that almost all the people close had moved over looking at the window I was shooting, one asked "is this one well known?"...so I replied in my nicest possible voice...."dunno mate, I just like it" Posted by: paul at February 20, 2005 6:58 PM This is just sooo beautiful... The colours, the lines, the lighting, the simplicity... Would love to have it printed and put on my wall... Posted by: Greg Osimowicz at February 20, 2005 4:28 PM Post a comment |
