![]() Several people have asked me how I did the conversion for this photo and others have asked what the original looked like, so here it is. This is straight from the camera. The way I did the conversion is: Now that I look at them side by side; it's pretty incredible how much detail I was able to recover in the flowers. It was there but hidden! ![]() Posted by Gaja at March 2, 2005 08:57 AM © All images are copyrighted. Please contact me for permission or licensing. CommentsI like this photo very much as it is. But with the comparison, it's awesome!! Posted by: BlueBlurry.com at March 7, 2005 01:42 AM I'm not a fan of sepia, although I use it sometimes...but in this case has turned a pretty picture into something extraordinary. Posted by: pilgrim at March 6, 2005 03:14 PM I am not a great fan of PS, but on this occasion I will make an exception. Nice image and very good framing. Posted by: Zishaan at March 5, 2005 11:26 AM love the toned version, the detail and texture of the flowers is brought out more. this does have a very surreal and fantasy feel. great shot. Posted by: zerosun at March 5, 2005 11:01 AM great shot! very harry potter :-P Posted by: Crash at March 5, 2005 07:01 AM I like the converted version...rare and exotic. Posted by: matt at March 4, 2005 10:37 PM Lovely treatment in the first photo. I dig the tones. Posted by: RainKing at March 4, 2005 07:32 AM I like the way the small flowers lead you to the textural tree. I quite like the toning, but I wonder if it would work with the natural colours? Posted by: Simon C at March 3, 2005 12:39 PM That's a great shot...I really like the flowers and the tree is amazing! Thanks for sharing with us :) Posted by: Lee at March 3, 2005 12:20 PM Wonderful shot. Love the warm sepia tone. Almost feels like Dottie will come skipping around the corner in a moment... Posted by: flygirl at March 3, 2005 08:45 AM Lovely picture. Did you use in-camera sepia toning or do a conversion. Either way, it works very well for me. I believe I'm in a monotone mood until spring springs. Posted by: Mark at March 3, 2005 08:15 AM very unreal and at the same time very beautiful. to me those flowers seem to be made out of wood or something... coloring is great, too! Posted by: patrick at March 3, 2005 06:10 AM A strange knot in this tree....nature can give nice things to photograpg hè. Posted by: Chantal at March 3, 2005 04:12 AM like in a movie of harry potter? ;) Posted by: Gabriel at March 2, 2005 10:09 PM Beautiful eerie shot. Love the tones. Posted by: Andreas at March 2, 2005 03:55 PM very dream-like! i like the toning very much, it's perfect for the scene. Posted by: ren at March 2, 2005 03:10 PM I like the coloring. Kind of a non traditional sepia color that gives it a unique feel. Nice job. Posted by: Jamey at March 2, 2005 12:46 PM Beautiful shot - the colorization is perfect. Posted by: Peloria at March 2, 2005 12:22 PM Wow, were did you find this dream world?? I love the framing and coloring in this photo. Posted by: luminouslens at March 2, 2005 11:37 AM Just amazing. Fantastic textures. Great composition. I think the monochromatic treatment really does give this that fantasy look. Posted by: orange at March 2, 2005 11:06 AM Post a comment |
