![]() Same tulips as the earlier shots. This time I used a light directly behind the tulips. I converted this shot to sepia in photoshop. Posted by: Crash at March 18, 2005 6:24 PM beautiful, just beautiful. i like the interesting textures created on the back petals, and crisp detail on the pods in the center. excellent idea with the lighting, almost looks like a lamp itself, with some cloth draping around. Posted by: zerosun at March 18, 2005 3:18 PM beautiful image, and nice interpretation of the "glow" photo friday assignment. pete Posted by: pete g at March 18, 2005 2:02 PM absolutely stunning ... Posted by: naomi-sarah at March 18, 2005 12:27 PM Nicely done...It took me a second when I first looked at it to realize what it was. Very cool. Posted by: Jason at March 18, 2005 9:33 AM Great shot. I love it when lighting is used a unique way. I like the sepia, but I'm curious to see what is looks like in color. Posted by: Shad at March 18, 2005 8:18 AM Wow! The light was a very nice idea, tath´s sounds like unreal thing. V.nice!!! Posted by: emarquetti at March 18, 2005 6:10 AM What a 'bright' idea! Really great! The backlight created a symmetry hexagon on the tulip. Amazing photo! Posted by: yungyaw at March 18, 2005 5:40 AM I am amazed. At first I thought it was a negative, then I read what you wrote. Really an original perspective. Posted by: Massimo at March 18, 2005 2:44 AM Absolutely stunning. I love the gentle fragility. Posted by: javajive at March 18, 2005 2:12 AM great idea with the back light, nicely executed Posted by: jyoseph at March 18, 2005 1:22 AM Very good job with the lighting! Posted by: Caroline at March 17, 2005 10:26 PM Wow. wow. wow. Triple wow ;-) Fantastic lighting choice! Posted by: Sara at March 17, 2005 6:52 PM This is really fantastic. I love how the flower practically glows from within, but it's not overdone. I really feel like I'm inside this flower. I think it was an excellent choice to put this in sepia. Posted by: luminouslens at March 17, 2005 6:14 PM great shot. find it more arresting than the previous tulip photos Posted by: Kyle at March 17, 2005 5:37 PM Gaja, you know how you blogged a few entries ago about having a hard time verbalizing responses to photos, even when the reaction is strong? I'm having that feeling now and I wish I 1) had something better to say instead of repeating Chiaroscuro and Sean, and 2) didn't have such a green monitor (but I'll be sure to come back to this post on a different computer). Posted by: jcm at March 17, 2005 4:42 PM Gorgeous. It looks especially good in sepia. Posted by: Chiaroscuro at March 17, 2005 3:04 PM Post a comment |
