Same tulips as the earlier shots. This time I used a light directly behind the tulips. I converted this shot to sepia in photoshop.

beautiful, just beautiful. i like the interesting textures created on the back petals, and crisp detail on the pods in the center. excellent idea with the lighting, almost looks like a lamp itself, with some cloth draping around.

Great shot. I love it when lighting is used a unique way. I like the sepia, but I'm curious to see what is looks like in color.

What a 'bright' idea! Really great! The backlight created a symmetry hexagon on the tulip. Amazing photo!

This is really fantastic. I love how the flower practically glows from within, but it's not overdone. I really feel like I'm inside this flower.

I think it was an excellent choice to put this in sepia.

Gaja, you know how you blogged a few entries ago about having a hard time verbalizing responses to photos, even when the reaction is strong? I'm having that feeling now and I wish I 1) had something better to say instead of repeating Chiaroscuro and Sean, and 2) didn't have such a green monitor (but I'll be sure to come back to this post on a different computer).
