![]() ![]() Both of these shots and the previous shot are scans of black and white film that I developed. I liked the patterns in these b&w shots, but I decided to add some color using a solid color layer in photoshop. Somehow, because of the abstract nature of these images, I think the color works well. I wouldn't want to to this for nature shots, but here I think it adds more emotion or something to these abstracts. What do you think? This cold color works well for this abstract pattern: the coolness of the shade complements and suggests the cold sensation of touching the metal in the grid. Posted by: Massimo at May 8, 2005 01:50 PM The color toning especially suits these recent images, definitely. Love the gentle play of angles in that second shot! Posted by: Turfdigger at May 8, 2005 02:06 AM Great pictures..... great choice of colour or should I say lack of colour Posted by: Chantal at May 7, 2005 01:22 PM Woow! Posted by: wr7259 at May 7, 2005 05:45 AM I think they look really good in these tones. I'm appreciating your photos more and more, Gaja! Posted by: Paulo Ribeiro at May 6, 2005 07:06 PM nice work on these. Posted by: maya at May 6, 2005 06:01 PM I think the cold tones work well for these bars. Especially the second one. The distortion is easier to see and helps create the dark mood. Posted by: Shad at May 6, 2005 02:52 PM Wonderful shots today and yesterday. Love the second one. The monochromatic treatment really works here. Amazing abstractions. Posted by: orange at May 6, 2005 02:12 PM Wow really good shots here. I like the second one especially. Posted by: Raffi at May 6, 2005 01:55 PM Wow. These are really beautiful shots. Well done you! I love your choice of focus on that second one.
