Barbeque Abstracts | « D50 plus | Main | Stock Review » |
![]() ![]() Thanks everyone for your encouraging words on the last post. I am planning on posting some of my 'bestselling' stock photos and giving a commentary in a bit. Meanwhile, here are two images taken a couple days ago on our porch. You probably can't tell, and that's why I called these 'abstract', but the second image has a black cat in the blurry background. This lovely stray is the first cat to let ginger hang out with him. He lets Ginger come right up and smell him; they were even hanging out together watching the world go by from the porch for a while. Ginger is completely obsessed with him; she stands at the window waiting for the cat to come by and say hello. In the picture, the cat is walking on the porch wall and ginger is watching with anticipation. The first photo is probably more obvious; it is the barbeque with blurry sky in the background. I love the 50mm. Posted by Gaja at August 24, 2005 12:53 PM © All images are copyrighted. Please contact me for permission or licensing. CommentsWow, I really like the blues and oranges in the first photo. An amazing abstract with excellent bokeh. Posted by: Smoove D at September 5, 2005 9:32 PM I like the colors of the first photo! Now that you mentioned it I can see the cat. My father in law could never stand cats. He had a dog, a very intelligent chow-chow. One day the dog adopted a cat, letting him eat and drink from his own, and become inseparable from then on (changing the opinions of my father in law about cats). He even adopted the kittens that the cat later on had (she was a female). Posted by: Massimo at August 27, 2005 1:43 AM The BBQ image - sweeeet! Lovely bits of swirl in the bokeh (gotta love that 50mm, eh?) The Ginger/kitty shot is also quite good - a bit soft on Ginger's ear in the foreground, but overall a strong composition. Posted by: Turfdigger at August 26, 2005 4:41 PM Hey Gaja, I just checked out your stock photos and you have some really creative ones in there. I wasn't sure how your stock photos would differ from the ones you show here, but I see that they're definitely stock oriented. However, they still carry a lot of originality in them! I'd definitely be interested in seeing which are your "best selling" ones. Also, I'm curious to know what you think of stock agencies like the ones you're signed up with? Posted by: luminouslens at August 26, 2005 1:40 PM the first one is a beautiful abstract .. love the flames and the blues. the second one is cute .. seen fm behind a dog's ears .. unusual perspective. Posted by: Kamakshi at August 25, 2005 5:08 PM I love the last photo, with the dogs ear from behind. I hope you are coping okay! Posted by: Chantal at August 25, 2005 5:20 AM I like the dreaminess of the bbq abstract. Wonderful colors in it. Posted by: chiaroscuro at August 24, 2005 6:54 PM Post a comment |
