Travelogue IX (Budapest by Night)

« Travelogue VIII (Sandia) | Main | travelogue X (Budapest by Day) »

Budapest is beautiful. I wish I could've been there longer and in nicer weather, but even in freezing, dreary weather it was easy to appreciate the beauty of this romantic city. I don't think I actually have a picture that captures what I thought was most beautiful about the city. I only got to see it from the taxi as it drove over the Danube, and when I saw the view from the river the first time I think I actually gasped. Across the river, which is the vast, winding and open, you can see rolling hills where the Buda old town and Royal Palace are situated.

I only had time to go out shooting twice - the first time by night, and the second by dreary day. Then the morning we left, the sun came out and I got to drive over the bridge again and see all the beautiful pictures I didn't take;-) But anyway, I am very happy with some of the pictures I did take. Below are three pictures from the Buda Royal Palace by night, and the last is a chain bridge over the danube.
