After Lodz, we headed up north with my uncle to Gdansk, and stayed in my grandmother's apartment in the nearby summer resort town of Sopot. As you can see below, it's also charming in the winter, weather permitting. Of course, the frozen Baltic is no good for swimming, but for some reason there are swans on the beach in the winter, and the icy water is quite pretty. All the images below were taken at the Pier (called "molo" in Polish), which in the summertime is covered with merchants selling all sorts of things, especially amber.
